Symphony No. 5 is a song by Ludwig van Beethoven. It is made between 1804-1808. It was premiered on 22 December 1808 in Vienna. It has 4 movements: Allegro con Brio, Andante con moto, Scherzo: Allegro, and Allegro – Presto. iDaisy always loves to play this song on repeat.
Movements
[edit]First Movement: Allegro con Brio
[edit]Allegro con Brio is famous for its “DA-DA-DA-DUM” motif, for knocking on the door. Its mood is urgent, dramatic, and intense. The famous motif is heard repeatedly. It uses C minor. It is iDaisy’s favorite part.
Second Movement: Andante con moto
[edit]This movement is slower and more peaceful than the first. It is written in A♭ major and has a theme with variations. The music feels calm and noble, with gentle rhythms and soft melodies. Sometimes the music becomes stronger, showing contrast and emotion.
Third Movement: Scherzo: Allegro
[edit]The third movement is mysterious and exciting. It starts with a quiet theme played by the cellos and double basses. Then it becomes louder and more energetic. This movement has a special rhythm and uses a lot of orchestral color. It leads directly into the fourth movement without stopping.
Fourth Movement: Allegro
[edit]The final movement is joyful and triumphant. It is written in C major, which sounds bright and happy. Beethoven adds trombones, piccolo, and contrabassoon to make the music more powerful. The movement ends the symphony with a feeling of victory and celebration.
